What your child gains from kids Krav Maga

  • Confidence. They learn that they can do hard things.
  • Focus and discipline. Clear routines and calm instructions.
  • Awareness. How to notice what is around them, and how to speak up and say no.
  • Fitness and coordination, in a way that feels like fun.

Kids self-defence through games

Children bring boundless energy to class, so we put it to work. Through games, they learn awareness, quick reactions and safe responses, and each game builds towards real self-defence skills, step by step.

Favourites such as Zombies and Pick the Cone sit alongside many other games in our drills. They also sharpen hand-eye coordination and develop gross and fine motor skills.

Class schedule

Junior Warriors is for children aged 6 to 15. Classes run every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at our studio in Anna Nagar, in two batches.

Ages 6 to 10

4:30 to 5:30 pm.

Ages 11 to 15

5:30 to 6:30 pm.

Fees: call for details. Your child can try a free class first.

Levels and certificates

Every three months is one level, ending in a grading and a certificate presentation. Children see their progress, and so do you.

Summer camp

Every May we run a five-day summer camp for children aged 6 to 15. It works as a preparation course, and children who complete it join regular Junior Warriors classes ready to train. See the summer camp.

Safety first

Classes are split by age, taught step by step and watched closely by instructors. Parents tell us about any medical condition or physical limitation before the first class, and we keep it confidential. Batches have 16 to 18 children, and Gopal teaches the class himself.

Questions parents ask

Is Krav Maga too aggressive for children?

No. For children we start with awareness, confidence, boundaries and when to say no. Physical techniques are introduced as a last resort, in age-appropriate drills, under close watch. Read what Krav Maga is.

What age can my child start?

Regular Junior Warriors classes are for children aged 6 to 15, in two groups: 6 to 10 and 11 to 15. The summer camp is open to children aged 6 to 15.

What should my child wear or bring?

Send your child in comfortable clothes they can move in, such as shorts or track pants and a T-shirt, and sports shoes, which are a must. A light meal about an hour before class works best. Pack a bottle of water, a face towel, and a banana or a small snack.

Can parents watch a Junior Warriors class?

Yes. Parents are encouraged to watch regular Junior Warriors classes, and there is a dedicated seating area. At the summer camp, parents join on the final day for the graduation, because children settle in better during the first days without parents watching.

My child is shy. Will they cope?

Yes. Children set their own pace, and every drill is taught step by step.

Does my child need any experience?

No. Beginners are welcome, and children with experience fit in alongside them.
