A room where you are never judged
You do not need to be fit, strong or experienced. Some of our best students walked in nervous. We go step by step, we explain why, and you set your own pace.
One honest line
No class can promise you will never be in danger. What we give you is awareness, calm and real options in a bad situation, and that makes a real difference.

I personally feel every girl should learn krav maga as it brings the courage to defend or to fight back when there is a need.Mahalakshmi R, Google review
Women's self-defence: your questions answered
Will Krav Maga work against a bigger, stronger attacker?
Yes, that is exactly the situation Krav Maga is designed for. It teaches simple moves that target the vulnerable parts of an attacker's body, combined with good timing, so you can break free and get away. It does not depend on size or strength. No class can promise you will never be in danger, but you will leave with real options in a bad situation.
I have never done anything physical. Can I still join?
Yes. You do not need fitness, flexibility or any experience. You start with simple moves and build up at your own pace.
Do I have to fight or spar?
No. You learn in controlled partner drills, step by step, and nobody is pushed beyond what they are comfortable with.
Are there self-defence classes for ladies and girls in Chennai?
Yes. Our women's self-defence classes are open to ladies and girls, and girls aged 6 to 15 can also join Junior Warriors. Call us to book a free trial class.
Will I be training with men? Is there a women-only batch?
Our weekend classes are open to men, women and children, grouped by level, and everyone trains with respect. We do not run a women-only batch at the moment, and our instructors are men. If you would like to train with a group of women, bring your friends to a weekend class, or invite us to your workplace for a women's workshop.
Can I choose my training partner?
Yes. You choose who you train with, and you can change partners whenever you like. As your confidence grows, we encourage you to work with bigger, stronger partners too, because that is the reality you are preparing for.
Is the class safe and respectful?
Yes. Every technique is explained first and practised step by step under close instructor supervision, on mats and with safety gear, in batches capped at 20. If you are tired, want a different partner or simply want to sit a drill out, you can do so at any time.
What if I freeze in a real situation?
Freezing is common, and it is something we train for. We practise staying calm, using your voice and acting in simple steps, so your response feels more natural under stress.
Is it only hitting and kicking?
No. We start with awareness, boundaries and how to avoid trouble, then your voice, your space and your options, and only then the physical techniques.
What should I wear or bring?
Wear comfortable clothes you can move freely in, such as track pants or leggings and a T-shirt, and sports shoes, which are a must. Eat something about an hour before class, and bring a bottle of water, a face towel, and a banana or a small snack.
How long before I can defend myself?
You start with simple, usable moves from your first class. The skill gets sharper the more you practise, and we tell you honestly where you stand.
I have an injury or a health condition. Can I join?
Tell us before your trial, and we will adjust the drills. If you are pregnant or have a medical condition, please check with your doctor first.
Can I try a class first? Can I bring a friend?
Yes to both. Call us to book a free trial class, which runs on Sundays, and bring a friend or your sister if you like. We will arrange it.
Who will teach me?
Classes are led by Gopal Raghavan, an NSQF Level 5 certified self-defence instructor and Krav Maga Global G2, with 12 years of teaching. Captain Goutam Jaiswal, a G1 instructor and ex-Army commando, also teaches at the studio.
